About This Place

Nestled in the heart of Red Bank, NJ, Inbetween Cafe is a charming breakfast restaurant that offers a delightful blend of classic American morning fare with a hint of inventive twists. From the moment you step inside the cozy space at 56 English Plaza, you’re embraced by an inviting atmosphere that feels like a warm neighborhood gathering spot—friendly, attentive staff, and a buzz of satisfied patrons creating the perfect start to any day.

Inbetween Cafe’s menu is a celebration of breakfast favorites elevated by fresh ingredients and skillful preparation. The California Omelette, packed with vibrant veggies and creamy cheese, bursts with bright, savory flavors that awaken the palate. Food lovers rave about their Eggs Benedict, where perfectly poached eggs sit atop a tantalizing English muffin, draped in luscious hollandaise—a classic done with evident care and precision.

For something uniquely memorable, try the Banana Bread French Toast, where the rich sweetness of banana bread meets a golden, crisp exterior balanced with fresh fruit. The Corn Crepe and Farmers Omelette showcase the kitchen’s ability to honor traditional recipes while delivering nuanced, satisfying tastes. And for those seeking a touch of spice, the Cajun Omelet delivers hearty warmth, while the secret Latin menu with offerings like chilaquiles adds an exciting cultural flair that keeps locals and visitors coming back for more.

The breakfast sandwiches, such as the bacon, ham, or sausage & egg with American cheese and the popular pork roll & cheese, offer handheld comfort that doesn’t compromise on flavor or quality. If you’re in the mood for something lighter yet equally delicious, the multigrain Avocado Toast and Spinach Egg White Omelet provide fresh, healthful options that feel indulgent rather than ordinary.

Doug McKechnie’s praise of the perfectly poached eggs and wonderfully caramelized fruit crepes perfectly captures the kitchen’s dedication to detail, while Sierra’s recommendation highlights the generous portions, reasonable prices, and stellar service that keeps guests returning. Frequent visitors comment on the attentive staff and the homey ambiance crafted by the sister-owner managers, who treat every guest like family.

Stopped here after coming to the area for my dogs surgery, I went here based upon Google reviews. I ordered the Inbetween Benedict and my wife had the 3 Fruit Crepes. The poached eggs on the Benedict were done perfectly and after tasting my wife’s crepes , they did an excellent job of caramelizing the brown sugar on the crepes. Will definitely return when I am back in the area for my dog’s follow up appointments.

Strong recommend! My husband and I really enjoyed this place! The food was great. Hot with wonderful flavor. Very generous portions for reasonable pricing. All the staff were very attentive and our coffee never got low. They have a traditional menu, and also a posted "secret" menu that has Latin offerings (chilaquiles, for example). We'll definitely come back if we're in the area

Absolute gem of a place. I get something different every time because everything is outstanding! One of the most memorable dishes yet has been the Jersey corn crepe!

Inbetween cafe is an amazing restaurant in all aspects. Not only is the food delicious and hot out of the kitchen, but the servers couldn’t be nicer. They’re always smiling, have a pot of coffee ready to top yours off, and know your “usual” order by heart. When I forgot to add a side of coleslaw on my to go order, she reminded me to add it! They truly treat you like family. Speaking of, this is a family owned place and they evidently take pride in their work by being so down-to-earth and kind. The restaurant is also immaculately clean- I appreciate how they clean the counter with Clorox after each customer, not just using a spray bottle with a dirty rag to clean it. I can’t recommend this place enough!!!
